දෙමළ විරෝධී සිංහල ස්වෝත්තමවාදී යුද්ධයේ දී දෙමළ පීඩිත ජනතාවට කළ හානිය LTTE අපරාධ වලට සම කළ නොහැක

යුද්ධයෙන් දෙමළ පීඩිත මහජනතාවට සිදු වූ මහා විනාශය, එල්ටීටීඊ (LTTE) සංවිධානය විසින් මායිම් ගම්මානවල හෝ දකුණේ සිදු කළ ඒ හෝ මේ බෝම්බ ප්‍රහාර සමග සැසඳිය නොහැකිය. නිසැකවම එල්ටීටීඊයේ එම ප්‍රහාර යුද අපරාධ වන අතර, ඒවාට එහි නායකත්වයේ සියලු දෙනා—ඔවුන් ජීවතුන් අතර සිටී නම්—වගවීමට ලක් කළ යුතුය. එහෙත් ඒ කිසිවක්, සමස්ත ජනතාවක් ලෙස දෙමළ කම්කරු, ගොවි පීඩිත ජනතාවට ලංකාවේ දකුණේ සිංහල ස්වෝත්තමවාදී ආණ්ඩුව විසින් ක්‍රමානුකූලව සහ සංවිධානාත්මකව සිදු කළ දශක ගණනාවක මහා විනාශයට අසලකින්වත් තැබිය නොහැකිය.

සිංහල පීඩිත ජනතාවට යුද්ධයෙන් සිදු වූ හානිය පරයා, යුද්ධයේ භයානක ප්‍රතිඵල ප්‍රමාණාත්මකව මෙන්ම ගුණාත්මකව ද කිහිප ගුණයකින් ඉහළ අගයකින් දෙමළ ජනතාව අත්විඳින ලද බව දකුණේ සිංහල කම්කරු පීඩිත මහජනතාව අවංකවම ගණනයට ගත යුතුය. මේ සත්‍යය වළලා, සිංහල ජනතාවට උතුරේ සිදු වනවා යැයි කියන අකටයුතුකම් ගැන මැසිවිලි දොඩමින් නැවත ජාතිවාදී ව්‍යාපාර ඉස්මත්තට ගෙන ඒමට තැත් කරන ලේ පිපාසිත නඩ ඔබ ප්‍රතික්ෂේප කළ යුතුය.

බෙදුම්වාදය මෙන්ම දෙමළ හෝ මුස්ලිම් ජාතිකවාදය ද පරාජය කළ හැක්කේ, පළමුවෙන්ම සහ අනිවාර්යයෙන්ම සිංහල-බෞද්ධ ස්වෝත්තමවාදී ධනපති දේශපාලනය පරාජය කිරීමෙනි.

The immense devastation inflicted upon the oppressed Tamil masses by the war cannot be equated with this or that bomb attack carried out by the LTTE in border villages or in the South. Those attacks were war crimes, and all members of the LTTE leadership — were they alive today — must be held accountable for them. But none of those acts can be placed anywhere near the decades of systematic, organised and massive devastation unleashed upon the Tamil working class, peasantry and oppressed masses as an entire people by the Sinhala-supremacist state in the South.

The Sinhala working class and oppressed masses in the South must honestly reckon with the fact that the gruesome consequences of the war endured by the Tamil people were, both quantitatively and qualitatively, several times greater than the damage suffered by the Sinhala oppressed. You must reject those bloodthirsty elements who seek to bury this truth, whining about alleged injustices against Sinhalese in the North in order to drag chauvinist movements back to the fore.

Separatism, as well as Tamil or Muslim nationalism, can only be defeated — primarily and indispensably — by defeating Sinhala-Buddhist supremacist capitalist politics.
